At Just Breathe Yoga, we believe that yoga and kids are a perfect match. Our classes cover yoga asanas (poses), breathing techniques (pranayama), stress management, the history of yoga, meditation, and fun yoga games that children can incorporate into their daily lives at home and school.
Through yoga, children can learn about their bodies, move more freely, and develop greater ease and awareness. They can also learn how to breathe deeply, bring peacefulness or energy to their bodies, and use their life force energy (prana) to feel more relaxed, focused, or motivated. Yoga teaches children how to be still, listen with attention, and make good decisions. It also teaches them about balance, including equal stretching on both sides of their bodies, and balancing busy time with equal quiet time and relaxation.
Yoga empowers children to be the "boss" of their bodies by listening to them, modifying or changing poses that are too hard or cause pain. It's a great way for children to take care of themselves, move their bodies, and feel healthy. A good yoga practice can also mean a good night's sleep.
At Just Breathe Yoga, we offer a lively and interactive yoga class that is tailored to your child's needs. Our experienced instructors use storytelling, music, and art to make learning yoga fun and effective. We welcome children of all backgrounds and abilities and are committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for everyone.
